The Cherhill White Horse carving was completed by Dr. Christopher Alsop in 1780 by directly stripping the surface of the chalk hill. Silbury Hill is the largest man-made mound in Europe, which took approximately 4 million hours and 500,000 tons of material to construct. Please note that crop circles usually appear between May and August, but the opportunity to see them varies, and there is a chance that some tour members may not see any.
